Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Starburst Wooly by Harmony Korine was auctioned at Phillips in New York in May 2018. The price achieved of USD 50,000.00 (€ 42,844.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Harmony Korine - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Clif Note Check, which sold at auction in February 2017 for USD 112,500.00 (€ 105,952.16).

Die Arbeit Starburst Wooly von Harmony Korine kam im Mai 2018 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 42.844,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Harmony Korine mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Clif Note Check beobachtet, die im Februar 2017 für USD 112.500,00 (€ 105.952,16) versteigert wurde.
