Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lengthening Shadows by Hanson Puthuff was auctioned at Bonhams in February this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,650.00 (€ 7,215.62) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hanson Puthuff have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Snowbound in June 2002 with an auction result of USD 38,240.00 (€ 38,798.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lengthening Shadows von Hanson Puthuff kam im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.650,00 (€ 7.215,62) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hanson Puthuff auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Snowbound im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 38.240,00 (€ 38.798,70).
