Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Atascadero by Hanson Puthuff was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in April this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,837.50 (€ 9,816.58) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hanson Puthuff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Snowbound, which sold at auction in June 2002 for USD 38,240.00 (€ 38,798.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Atascadero von Hanson Puthuff wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.837,50 (€ 9.816,58) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Hanson Puthuff mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Snowbound beobachtet, die im Juni 2002 für USD 38.240,00 (€ 38.798,70) versteigert wurde.
