Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in Edinburgh held the auction California Art, which included the work Mantle of Sunshine by Hanson Puthuff. The price achieved of USD 20,480.00 (€ 18,775.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hanson Puthuff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Snowbound, which sold at auction in June 2002 for USD 38,240.00 (€ 38,798.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Edinburgh die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mantle of Sunshine von Hanson Puthuff zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 20.480,00 (€ 18.775,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hanson Puthuff mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Snowbound beobachtet, die im Juni 2002 für USD 38.240,00 (€ 38.798,70) versteigert wurde.
