A top price for Hanson Puthuff - as previously expected
The work Snowbound by Hanson Puthuff was sold in the CALIFORNIA, WESTERN AND AMERICAN PAINTINGS auction at Christies in Los Angeles in June 2002. The price achieved of USD 38,240.00 (€ 38,798.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Snowbound is the most expensive artwork by Hanson Puthuff that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Snowbound von Hanson Puthuff wurde im Juni 2002 in der Auktion CALIFORNIA, WESTERN AND AMERICAN PAINTINGS bei Christies in Los Angeles versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 38.240,00 (€ 38.798,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Snowbound das teuerste Kunstwerk von Hanson Puthuff, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
