Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Hanson Puthuff achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in April this year. In the California Art auction, the work Verdugo Woodlands sold for USD 38,175.00 (€ 34,578.80) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Hanson Puthuff; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Snowbound sold at auction in June 2002 with the realized price of USD 38,240.00 (€ 38,798.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hanson Puthuff erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion California Art wurde die Arbeit Verdugo Woodlands für USD 38.175,00 (€ 34.578,80) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Hanson Puthuff; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Snowbound im Juni 2002 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 38.240,00 (€ 38.798,70).
