Upper estimate price exceeded by 54 %.
In August this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California Art, which included the work Pasture Grounds by Hanson Puthuff. The »bidding war« ended at USD 23,040.00 (€ 21,256.57), 54% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Hanson Puthuff; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Snowbound sold at auction in June 2002 with the realized price of USD 38,240.00 (€ 38,798.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 54 % übertroffen
Im August diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pasture Grounds von Hanson Puthuff zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 23.040,00 (€ 21.256,57) und damit 54% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Hanson Puthuff; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Snowbound im Juni 2002 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 38.240,00 (€ 38.798,70).
