Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Hans Burkhardt achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March 2016. In the FIRST OPEN | Post-War and Contemporary Art auction, the work Children'S Washday sold for USD 32,500.00 (€ 28,533.80) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Hans Burkhardt; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Abstract Landscape sold at auction in July 2015 with the realized price of USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,737.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hans Burkhardt erzielte im März 2016 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion FIRST OPEN | Post-War and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Children'S Washday für USD 32.500,00 (€ 28.533,80) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Hans Burkhardt; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Abstract Landscape im Juli 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.737,40).
