This artwork by Hans Burkhardt achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in July 2015. In the First Open/ NYC auction, the work Abstract Landscape sold for USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,737.40) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. This high result makes Abstract Landscape the most expensive artwork by Hans Burkhardt that we have observed at auctions so far.
