Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Gregory Amenoff achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in June 2015. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Bayou Teche sold for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,724.05) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Gregory Amenoff; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Evenfall sold at auction in March 2007 with the realized price of USD 12,000.00 (€ 8,972.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gregory Amenoff erzielte im Juni 2015 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wurde die Arbeit Bayou Teche für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.724,05) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Gregory Amenoff; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Evenfall im März 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 12.000,00 (€ 8.972,63).
