Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gregory Amenoff could be acquired at Christies in New York in March 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Expulsion changed hands for USD 687.50 (€ 484.74) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gregory Amenoff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Evenfall in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 12,000.00 (€ 8,972.63).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gregory Amenoff konnte im März 2011 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wechselte die Arbeit Expulsion für USD 687,50 (€ 484,74) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gregory Amenoff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Evenfall im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.000,00 (€ 8.972,63).
