Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Tree Planting Group by Grant Wood was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in March last year. It achieved a price of USD 6,120.00 (€ 5,516.99), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 22%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Grant Wood achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Study for "February" in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,058,500.00 (€ 760,471.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Tree Planting Group von Grant Wood kam im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 6.120,00 (€ 5.516,99) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 22%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Grant Wood erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Study for "February" im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.058.500,00 (€ 760.471,30).
