Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Graham Clarke could be acquired at Christies in London in October 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints and Multiples auction, the work Mary I; Henry VI; Charles I; & Charles II changed hands for GBP 240.00 (€ 358.58) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 400.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Graham Clarke - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A collection of four woodcuts in colours comprising Hay Field Timberden, Timberden, Lane to Filsdon and Hill at Woodlands (illustrated), on wove paper, each signed, titled and inscribed (proof) in pencil, with margins, apparently in good condition, unexam, which sold at auction in February 2008 for GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,307.9
