Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Graham Clarke could be acquired at Christies in London in December 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British, Continental and Russian Pictures auction, the work Unknown changed hands for GBP 120.00 (€ 178.10) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Admittedly, works by Graham Clarke have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A collection of four woodcuts in colours comprising Hay Field Timberden, Timberden, Lane to Filsdon and Hill at Woodlands (illustrated), on wove paper, each signed, titled and inscribed (proof) in pencil, with margins, apparently in good condition, unexam in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,3
