Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Unknown by Graham Clarke was sold in the British, Continental and Russian Pictures auction at Christies in London in December 2006. The price achieved of GBP 480.00 (€ 712.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Other works by Graham Clarke have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2008 the work A collection of four woodcuts in colours comprising Hay Field Timberden, Timberden, Lane to Filsdon and Hill at Woodlands (illustrated), on wove paper, each signed, titled and inscribed (proof) in pencil, with margins, apparently in good condition, unexam was auctioned for GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,307.96).
