The work Unknown by Graham Clarke was sold in the British, Continental and Russian Pictures auction at Christies in London in December 2006. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 384.00 (€ 569.90), 28% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Graham Clarke - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A collection of four woodcuts in colours comprising Hay Field Timberden, Timberden, Lane to Filsdon and Hill at Woodlands (illustrated), on wove paper, each signed, titled and inscribed (proof) in pencil, with margins, apparently in good condition, unexam, which sold at auction in February 2008 for GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,307.9
