Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gong Xian could be acquired at Bonhams in London in June this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Studio In The Mountains changed hands for HKD 243,200.00 (€ 28,417.88) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gong Xian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dwelling In Seclusion Amid Rivers And Mountains in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 2,410,000.00 (€ 2,243,738.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gong Xian konnte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Studio In The Mountains für HKD 243.200,00 (€ 28.417,88) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gong Xian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dwelling In Seclusion Amid Rivers And Mountains im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.410.000,00 (€ 2.243.738,94).
