Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sailing along the river by Gong Xian was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2021. The price achieved of HKD 138,600.00 (€ 15,417.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gong Xian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dwelling In Seclusion Amid Rivers And Mountains in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 2,410,000.00 (€ 2,243,738.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sailing along the river von Gong Xian kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 138.600,00 (€ 15.417,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gong Xian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dwelling In Seclusion Amid Rivers And Mountains im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.410.000,00 (€ 2.243.738,94).
