Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Poem In Cursive Script by Gong Xian. It changed hands for a price of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 41,086.29) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gong Xian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dwelling In Seclusion Amid Rivers And Mountains in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 2,410,000.00 (€ 2,243,738.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poem In Cursive Script von Gong Xian zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 41.086,29) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 400.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gong Xian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dwelling In Seclusion Amid Rivers And Mountains im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.410.000,00 (€ 2.243.738,94).
