The work Reclusive Life in the Mountains by Gong Xian was worth HKD 2,520,000.00 (€ 301,985.42) to a buyer in December last year. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 800,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Gong Xian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dwelling In Seclusion Amid Rivers And Mountains in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 2,410,000.00 (€ 2,243,738.94).

Die Arbeit Reclusive Life in the Mountains von Gong Xian war einem Käufer im Dezember letzten Jahres HKD 2.520.000,00 (€ 301.985,42) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 800.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gong Xian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dwelling In Seclusion Amid Rivers And Mountains im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.410.000,00 (€ 2.243.738,94).
