Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Village Along A River by Gong Xian was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018. The result of HKD 350,000.00 (€ 36,930.59) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 350,000.00 – 450,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gong Xian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dwelling In Seclusion Amid Rivers And Mountains in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 2,410,000.00 (€ 2,243,738.94).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Village Along A River von Gong Xian wurde im April 2018 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 350.000,00 (€ 36.930,59) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 350.000,00 – 450.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gong Xian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dwelling In Seclusion Amid Rivers And Mountains im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.410.000,00 (€ 2.243.738,94).
