Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2018 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Landscape by Gong Xian. The price achieved of HKD 1,062,000.00 (€ 112,057.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 900,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gong Xian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dwelling In Seclusion Amid Rivers And Mountains in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 2,410,000.00 (€ 2,243,738.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2018 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape von Gong Xian zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.062.000,00 (€ 112.057,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 900.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gong Xian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dwelling In Seclusion Amid Rivers And Mountains im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.410.000,00 (€ 2.243.738,94).
