Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Little Black Shoes by Gladys Nilsson was sold in the First Open/ NYC auction at Christies in New York in July 2015. The price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,367.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gladys Nilsson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work By a Waterfall ....., 1973 in September last year with an auction result of USD 113,775.00 (€ 116,298.68).
