Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2003 Christies in Rome held the auction ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO, which included the work Il piccolo suonatore by Giovanni Panza. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,472.00 16% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giovanni Panza - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work L'arrivo dei pescatori, which sold at auction in December 2001 for ITL 8,575,000.00 (€ 7,707.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2003 führte Christies in Rom die Auktion ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO durch, in der auch die Arbeit Il piccolo suonatore von Giovanni Panza zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.472,00 und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Panza mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit L'arrivo dei pescatori beobachtet, die im Dezember 2001 für ITL 8.575.000,00 (€ 7.707,00) versteigert wurde.
