The work L'arrivo dei pescatori by Giovanni Panza was sold in the ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO auction at Christies in Rome in December 2001. The price achieved of ITL 8,575,000.00 (€ 7,707.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as ITL 8,000,000.00 – 10,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, L'arrivo dei pescatori is the most expensive artwork by Giovanni Panza that we have observed at auctions so far.
