In March 2020 Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work Radiale by Giò Pomodoro. The »bidding war« ended at USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,666.88), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giò Pomodoro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Studio per la Grande folla in November 2000 with an auction result of ITL 89,300,000.00 (€ 82,171.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im März 2020 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Radiale von Giò Pomodoro zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.666,88) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giò Pomodoro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Studio per la Grande folla im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von ITL 89.300.000,00 (€ 82.171,61).
