The work Forma distesa by Giò Pomodoro was sold in the Arte Moderna e Contemporanea auction at Il Ponte in December 2020. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 15,000.00 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Giò Pomodoro have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Studio per la Grande folla in November 2000 with an auction result of ITL 89,300,000.00 (€ 82,171.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Forma distesa von Giò Pomodoro wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Arte Moderna e Contemporanea bei Il Ponte versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 15.000,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giò Pomodoro auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Studio per la Grande folla im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von ITL 89.300.000,00 (€ 82.171,61).
