Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Anjie by Ghada Amer was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2019. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 62,500.00 (€ 72,541.86). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ghada Amer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (The Big Blue Expression Painting BBEP), which sold at auction in October 2006 for GBP 120,000.00 (€ 179,290.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Anjie von Ghada Amer kam im März 2019 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 62.500,00 (€ 72.541,86) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Ghada Amer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (The Big Blue Expression Painting BBEP) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2006 für GBP 120.000,00 (€ 179.290,69) versteigert wurde.
