Auction result misses estimated price range

In December 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Surrealist study of a kitchen by Gertrude Abercrombie for USD 3,840.00 (€ 2,909.75). This price was achieved in the auction The House Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gertrude Abercrombie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Giraffe in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 365,400.00 (€ 299,655.57).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
