Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2010 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations, which included the work A view of the Witte Huis, Rotterdam by Gerardus Johannes Delfgaauw. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gerardus Johannes Delfgaauw - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A view of the Maas, Rotterdam, the former HAL office beyond, which sold at auction in September 2001 for EUR 7,637.50.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2010 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations durch, in der auch die Arbeit A view of the Witte Huis, Rotterdam von Gerardus Johannes Delfgaauw zur Versteigerung kam.
