Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Grote Kerk, Dordrecht by Gerardus Johannes Delfgaauw was sold in the Nineteen to Now including Topographical Observations auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 875.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Gerardus Johannes Delfgaauw have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A view of the Maas, Rotterdam, the former HAL office beyond in September 2001 with an auction result of EUR 7,637.50.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Grote Kerk, Dordrecht von Gerardus Johannes Delfgaauw wurde im September 2011 in der Auktion Nineteen to Now including Topographical Observations bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 875,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gerardus Johannes Delfgaauw auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A view of the Maas, Rotterdam, the former HAL office beyond im September 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 7.637,50.
