Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2008 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Topographical Observations: Picture your world, which included the work Steamers arriving at the port of Rotterdam by Gerardus Johannes Delfgaauw. The price achieved of EUR 4,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Other works by Gerardus Johannes Delfgaauw have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2001 the work A view of the Maas, Rotterdam, the former HAL office beyond was auctioned for EUR 7,637.50.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2008 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Topographical Observations: Picture your world durch, in der auch die Arbeit Steamers arriving at the port of Rotterdam von Gerardus Johannes Delfgaauw zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 4.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Gerardus Johannes Delfgaauw konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im September 2001 die Arbeit A view of the Maas, Rotterdam, the former HAL office beyond für EUR 7.637,50 versteigert.
