Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Brigitte Bardot (H. & I. 22) by Gerald Laing was auctioned at Phillips in London in January last year. The price achieved of GBP 5,292.00 (€ 6,343.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerald Laing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Beach Wear in October 2016 with an auction result of GBP 1,565,000.00 (€ 1,743,457.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Brigitte Bardot (H. & I. 22) von Gerald Laing kam im Januar letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.292,00 (€ 6.343,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerald Laing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Beach Wear im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.565.000,00 (€ 1.743.457,40).
