Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Francine, Sandra, Tracy and Starlet, from: Baby, Baby Wild Things by Gerald Laing was auctioned at Christies in London in March this year. The price achieved of GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,334.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerald Laing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Beach Wear in October 2016 with an auction result of GBP 1,565,000.00 (€ 1,743,457.40).

Die Arbeit Francine, Sandra, Tracy and Starlet, from: Baby, Baby Wild Things von Gerald Laing kam im März diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.600,00 (€ 14.334,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerald Laing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Beach Wear im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.565.000,00 (€ 1.743.457,40).
