Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2020 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Vaches dans un pré by Georges Seurat. It changed hands for a price of GBP 275,000.00 (€ 318,725.62) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 220,000.00 – 280,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Seurat achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Poseuses, Ensemble (Petite version) in November last year with an auction result of USD 149,240,000.00 (€ 144,570,376.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vaches dans un pré von Georges Seurat zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 275.000,00 (€ 318.725,62) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 220.000,00 – 280.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Seurat erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Poseuses, Ensemble (Petite version) im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 149.240.000,00 (€ 144.570.376,83).
