Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Georges Seurat achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in March last year. In the Old Master & 19th Century Art auction, the work Tête D'Homme De Profil sold for EUR 85,280.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Seurat achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Poseuses, Ensemble (Petite version) in November last year with an auction result of USD 149,240,000.00 (€ 144,570,376.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Georges Seurat erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Art wurde die Arbeit Tête D'Homme De Profil für EUR 85.280,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Seurat erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Poseuses, Ensemble (Petite version) im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 149.240.000,00 (€ 144.570.376,83).
