In November 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Cluster Of Cubes - Excentric by George Rickey. The »bidding war« ended at USD 250,000.00 (€ 220,789.54), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Rickey - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work One Fixed Four Jointed Lines, which sold at auction in May 2019 for USD 519,000.00 (€ 465,512.60).

Im November 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cluster Of Cubes - Excentric von George Rickey zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 250.000,00 (€ 220.789,54) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von George Rickey mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit One Fixed Four Jointed Lines beobachtet, die im Mai 2019 für USD 519.000,00 (€ 465.512,60) versteigert wurde.
