Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Inverted Channels & Flat Bar by Geoffrey Clarke was sold in the Made in Britain auction at Sothebys in London in March 2016. The price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,258.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Geoffrey Clarke - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Man, which sold at auction in November 2010 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,862.46).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 10.258,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Geoffrey Clarke mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Man beobachtet, die im November 2010 für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 32.862,46) versteigert wurde.
