Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Infernal Machine by Geoffrey Clarke was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in October 2021. The price achieved of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,251.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Other works by Geoffrey Clarke have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2010 the work Man was auctioned for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,862.46).
