Auction result well in line with expectations
The work VII by Geoffrey Clarke was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in July 2021. The price achieved of GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,196.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Geoffrey Clarke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Man in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,862.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit VII von Geoffrey Clarke wurde im Juli 2021 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.196,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Geoffrey Clarke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Man im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 32.862,46).
