Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work The Black Flag (Some Things I Like Different) by Gardar Eide Einarsson for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 15,216.35). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Gardar Eide Einarsson have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2014 by the work Greetings to Thieves, Male and Female at GBP 17,500.00 (€ 22,344.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Black Flag (Some Things I Like Different) von Gardar Eide Einarsson für GBP 11.875,00 (€ 15.216,35) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Gardar Eide Einarsson wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Oktober 2014 die Arbeit Greetings to Thieves, Male and Female mit GBP 17.500,00 (€ 22.344,97).
