Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sublimation by Gao Xingjian was sold in the A Selection of Chen Wen Hsi Paintings and Modern and Contemporary Ink Art auction at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2016. The price achieved of HKD 70,800.00 (€ 8,331.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 60,000.00 – 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gao Xingjian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work By the Lake in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 57,881.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sublimation von Gao Xingjian wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion A Selection of Chen Wen Hsi Paintings and Modern and Contemporary Ink Art bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 70.800,00 (€ 8.331,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 60.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gao Xingjian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit By the Lake im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 57.881,92).
