Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work La Mémoire Lointaine, 2009 by Gao Xingjian was sold in the Michael Goedhuis | Brush and Bronze auction at Bonhams in May this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,355.00 (€ 6,230.58). Admittedly, works by Gao Xingjian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work By the Lake in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 57,881.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit La Mémoire Lointaine, 2009 von Gao Xingjian wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Michael Goedhuis | Brush and Bronze bei Bonhams versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.355,00 (€ 6.230,58) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gao Xingjian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit By the Lake im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 57.881,92).
