The work L'Astre, 2009 by Gao Xingjian was auctioned at Bonhams in May this year. It achieved a price of GBP 4,462.50 (€ 5,192.15), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 49%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gao Xingjian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work By the Lake in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 57,881.92).

Die Arbeit L'Astre, 2009 von Gao Xingjian kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 4.462,50 (€ 5.192,15) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 49%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gao Xingjian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit By the Lake im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 57.881,92).
