Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Shadow (Painted In 2004) by Gao Xingjian was auctioned at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2021. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 180,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 200,600.00 (€ 21,477.37). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gao Xingjian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work By the Lake, which sold at auction in November 2016 for HKD 475,000.00 (€ 57,881.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Shadow (Painted In 2004) von Gao Xingjian kam im April 2021 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 180.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 200.600,00 (€ 21.477,37) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Gao Xingjian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit By the Lake beobachtet, die im November 2016 für HKD 475.000,00 (€ 57.881,92) versteigert wurde.
