This work without title by Gao Xingjian was sold in the Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in February 2021. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 75,000.00 (€ 7,994.29), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Gao Xingjian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work By the Lake in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 57,881.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Gao Xingjian wurde im Februar 2021 in der Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 7.994,29) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gao Xingjian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit By the Lake im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 57.881,92).
