Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Mahler Song by Gao Xingjian was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in March last year. The price achieved of HKD 100,800.00 (€ 11,603.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gao Xingjian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work By the Lake in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 57,881.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Mahler Song von Gao Xingjian kam im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 100.800,00 (€ 11.603,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gao Xingjian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit By the Lake im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 57.881,92).
