Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Phillips in New York held the auction Editions & Works on Paper, which included the work Labyrinth, Regenbogen und Sonnenuhr (Maze, Rainbow and Sundial) (S. 111) by Friedrich Meckseper. The price achieved of USD 756.00 (€ 761.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 600.00 – 900.00. Admittedly, works by Friedrich Meckseper have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sieben Weltwunder in October 2005 with an auction result of EUR 7,140.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Editions & Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit Labyrinth, Regenbogen und Sonnenuhr (Maze, Rainbow and Sundial) (S. 111) von Friedrich Meckseper zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 756,00 (€ 761,02) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 600,00 – 900,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Friedrich Meckseper auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sieben Weltwunder im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 7.140,00.
