Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An elegant company near a carriage outside the walls of a country house, hunters nearby by Frederik de Moucheron was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2011. The price achieved of EUR 3,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederik de Moucheron achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An extensive Italianate landscape with travellers on a wooded track in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 51,650.00 (€ 65,621.91).
