Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work La Macreuse by Frédéric Bazille. It changed hands for a price of USD 242,500.00 (€ 196,133.94) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 180,000.00 – 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frédéric Bazille - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait De Paul Verlaine À L'Âge De Vingt-Trois Ans, which sold at auction in May 2015 for USD 610,000.00 (€ 554,848.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Macreuse von Frédéric Bazille zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 242.500,00 (€ 196.133,94) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 180.000,00 – 250.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Frédéric Bazille mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait De Paul Verlaine À L'Âge De Vingt-Trois Ans beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für USD 610.000,00 (€ 554.848,10) versteigert wurde.
